Two new internship opportunities...

It could be you. Maybe.

In addition to the more established grad schemes, there have been two other internship roles that I've been told about.

The first is from Quirk. They need a few interns for some social media work. Their clients are Warner Bros, Investec, SAB Miller, Nando's...to name a few. If this sounds like your cup of tea, email Tom at tom.brady@quirk.biz.

The second is from Lambie Nairn, who are looking for a full time intern to start in February 2011 to support the marketing, communications and new business team. Activities will include processing weekly business development reports, research and analysis of sectors, monitoring of press for client teams and general administrative support.

They are after someone with a positive flexible attitude, strong attention to detail and most importantly, someone who is an excellent communicator
. The internship would be on a rolling monthly basis; people who are doing a year in industry are welcome, but as it's a full-time position applicants must be able to do a full working week.

Applicants will need to send a CV and covering letter to careers@lambie-nairn.com with the subject header "Internship 2011".

Best of luck with those two.

A new role from The Nursery...

You probably won't be working here. Unless you're naughty.

THIS ROLE HAS NOW BEEN FILLED. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST.

A rather interesting brief has just winged its way to us at AdGrads.

Chris and the chaps at The Nursery are looking for someone to train up as a qual researcher. If you want to learn what makes people tick, and are fascinated about why they do the things they do, starting at The Nursery would be a good job for you.

Anyway, the details are below. Best of luck:

The Nursery Research and Planning is looking for someone marvellous to train as a qualitative researcher.

The company was formed in 2001 by ex ad agency people who wanted to fill the gap for a more useful, nurturing style of research.

We are the world’s leading experts in brand communications research. Typical projects involve helping agencies and clients identify the potential across candidate creative routes. We use a mix of qualitative research techniques and increasingly our innovative online research methodologies.

We need another smart cookie who ‘gets’ advertising ideas and can articulate why one concept is more promising than another. You may not have considered a career in market research but we reckon we deal with the most interesting parts of the advertising process. Think of us as marrying up consumer insights with creative ideas.

Only five people have left us in our 9 years: One emigrated to work for Unilever Australia (and live on Bondi Beach), one to a senior role at another research company and three have become planners. (at Red Brick Road, Isobel and Wolff Olins.)

Drop us a line with your CV explaining why you’d be great in this job.

Good luck.

Calling All Grads

For those of you that have graduated and are still searching for that way into adland, we may have something for you.

Digitas are looking for a grad to start in account management as soon as possible - also known as 'yesterday'. They wanna move quick so you should as well. Their client list is long and full of heavy hitters so check out their website for the lowdown and if you're interested send your CV to Rob Moore. You will have to have graduated because they want someone who can start pronto.
